Belly fat

Hi. I'm Mary been in menopause since age 56 now 63. Can't lose this belly for nothing. Done the gym walk 2 miles a day belly wrap and then some. It just will not go away. I'm type 2 diabetic and taking Ozempic. Its keeping my A1C down put not my weight. I give up.

  1. Hi, Mary. Thanks for sharing your experience. I am so sorry you are going through this. Changes in hormones because of menopause can cause the body to store more fat around the abdomen ("belly fat.") This type of weight gain can increase the risk of type 2 diabetes and heart disease. For many people it is stubborn! I'm glad you are keeping tabs on your Type 2 Diabetes. That will help your overall health. Does your doctor who prescribed the Ozempic have any ideas why it isn't impacting your weight? All the best, Kathy (Team member)
