What do you wish others knew about menopause?

There are plenty of misconceptions and a lot of unknown information about menopause. What's something you wish people understood about the condition, or your personal experience living with it?

  1. It's a normal continuation of our hormonal life and should have never been/should not be shamed! It irritates me that most people don't realize that 'menopause' indicates a single point in time, and most of our time is spent in perimenopause (pre- and post-). There are health inequities that have arisen b/c of the paucity of data on women, and even more so, perimenopausal women. This needs to be addressed in our society.
