Symptoms out of nowhere
I'm 57 I haven't had a period in 8 years.Out of the blue I was experiencing a lot of post menopause symptoms I was referred to a male gynecologist.He told me it was anxiety and panic attacks.I was not being heard.I vowed that I will find an answer.I googled every symptom.I finally have an appointment with an endocrinologist in a few weeks.I am anxious to start this journey to get back to a better quality of life.
Thanks for sharing your experience. I am certain it wasn't easy to advocate for yourself, especially when being gaslit by your gynecologist. (And - a question with out an answer - how does a doctor, male or female, become a gynecologist without recognizing the symptoms of something all women go through?!)
